Cool Blue is proud to announce a strong start to 2013 with the addition of several new projects, one of which entails new site design for a valued return client. Read on to learn about what will be keeping us busy as the New Year progresses.
Alliance Theatre
Cool Blue was originally awarded the Alliance Theatre website redesign in 2006. Launched in 2007, the site received two Silver Davey Awards, as well as two WebAwards from 2007 and 2008 for ‘Outstanding Website’ and ‘Standard of Excellence of a Website’.
The Alliance returned to Cool Blue in 2012, and its new site is scheduled for launch in March 2013.
Founded in 1968, the Alliance Theatre remains closely tied to the cultural identity of Atlanta, growing as the city has grown. The theatre has gained national recognition and prominence as we have become a leading international city. In 1977, the Alliance merged with The Atlanta Children’s Theatre (founded in 1929) in order to include Atlanta’s youngest audiences in fully produced theatrical experiences.
Georgia Tech Financial Aid
Cool Blue will launch its second GA Tech website in mid-February. This particular project – done on behalf of the financial aid office – includes the addition of the Drupal CMS, visual redesign, and careful site architecture to make the hundreds of pages of content accessible to end users. This includes the creation of a search function feature on scholarship pages, which will provide students with an easier process in locating scholarships to best fit their specific educational needs.
The Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the nation's top research universities, distinguished by its commitment to improving the human condition through advanced science and technology. Georgia Tech's campus occupies 400 acres in the heart of the city of Atlanta, where more than 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students receive a focused, technologically based education.
Skyland Trail
Scheduled for release in late February 2013, Skyland Trail’s website update will include a full visual and architectural redesign; a password-protected Board of Directors area; project charter; information architecture; wireframes; and the development of both desktop and mobile “responsive” templates. Cool Blue will also design email templates and format MailChimp for email broadcast distributions.
Skyland Trail is a non-profit, community-based residential and day mental health treatment facility for adults with serious mental illness. Skyland Trail inspires people with mental illness to thrive through a holistic program of evidence-based psychiatric treatment, integrated medical care, research, and education.
Lewis University
Cool Blue has been contracted by Lewis University in Chicago, IL, for its website redesign. The project includes student, faculty /staff, and prospective student/parent surveys to gauge the effectiveness of the current website and areas to target improvements.
Once evaluated, Cool Blue’s efforts will include project charter; information architecture; wireframes; and visual redesign. The site is tentatively scheduled for release in late 2013 with an internal team leading the development.
Lewis provides more than 80 undergraduate majors and programs of study, 25 graduate programs, and accelerated programs for working adults through the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, and Nursing and Health Professions. Premier programs include aviation, criminal/social justice, education, nursing, and business for over 6000 students across 7 physical campus locations.
