Improving Site Content

Improving Site Content

Your Site : Reinventing the Wheel

Problem: – Search engines love sites with fresh content updates, so why limit yourself to content that is 100% unique? By limiting the amount of fresh or new content on your site, you're potentially hurting your search rankings.

Solution: Write content that is applicable to your field, even if the subject matter is discussed elsewhere. We're not advocating plagiarism, but just because you've seen specific content on someone else's site, it doesn't mean the subject matter or thoughts in the article are off limits. If you find ideas that are relevant to your site, there is no harm in repurposing the ideas or content to suit your needs and the needs of your audience. By repurposing the content, adding your thoughts, and posting the information on your site, you're doing your customer and yourself a service. Your customers will appreciate having information at their fingertips that helps them, and your site will achieve better results in searches. You should always ask yourself: "Is this unique enough to be considered my own content?" If not, it's best to give credit to the author, and in many cases, there is no harm in giving credit to the author anyway. After all, they were the source of your inspiration.
