The 2009 W3 Award Winners Announced – Cool Blue Takes Home 2 Silvers
The 2009 W3 Award winners have been announced by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, and Cool Blue's award-winning site, The Conservancy of Southwest Florida (www.conservancy.org) received two Silver awards in two categories: Best Structure & Navigation and Non-Profit. This is the second win for the Conservancy's site in a Structure and Navigation category – the site won a Communicator Award earlier this year for its intuitive and user-friendly navigation.
"These awards for intuitive navigation recognize Cool Blue's 12 years of experience and focus on visibility and our results-oriented approach in creating great experiences for our clients," remarked Bo Simmons, President of Cool Blue Interactive.
Linda Day, executive director of the IAVA said, "We were incredibly impressed by the quality and creativity of this year's entries. W3 winners continue to set the bar in Web development and design and push the limits of web creativity. And on behalf of the entire Academy, we congratulate this year's W3 Award winners as they continue to advance Internet creativity and greatly contribute to the robust and ever-changing online community."
The W3 Awards honors creative excellence on the Web, and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning Websites, Web Video and Online Marketing programs. Simply put, the W3 is the first major Web competition to be accessible to the biggest agencies, the smallest firms, and everyone in between. Small firms are as likely to win as Fortune 500 companies and international agencies. The W3 Awards is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms.
