Cool Blue Interactive, Atlanta’s premier internet marketing and web development agency, has wrapped up their Grow Your Cause project for 2009. The upcoming new website, www.forpete.org, currently in the hands of Kintera/Blackbaud, is scheduled to launch before the end of 2009.

This year’s Grow Your Cause effort took a slightly different approach than the previous year. Typically, as with the 2008 Community Life Concepts site (Cool Blue’s first pro-bono site), Cool Blue handles all aspects of the new site implementation – from planning to launch. This year, prior to winning Grow Your Cause, the For Pete’s Sake Foundation made a decision to integrate their existing site with Kintera/Blackbaud. Therefore, while the Development and Launch phases were slated to Kintera/Blackbaud, Cool Blue took on the ever-important Planning and Design phase.

Cool Blue’s approach to Planning and Design includes spending time upfront with the client defining the criteria for success, creating detailed Information Architecture to visually layout the flow of the site, creating dynamic design around the user-friendly architecture, and frequently communicating with the client. All of these aspects result in a site that is as functional as it is attractive.

To date, Cool Blue has completed the Planning and Design phases, and the design elements have been passed to Kintera/Blackbaud to continue the new site integration. We wish the For Pete’s Sake Foundation the best and look forward to seeing their new site!

Incorporated in September 2002, the For Pete's Sake Foundation is a volunteer-run organization that strives to maximize relief to families affected by the disease Wiskott-Aldrich Sydrome. The organization’s goal is to distribute at least 90% of every dollar raised to support the present and future needs of families affected by the disease and to support WAS research.
