Atlanta Interactive Agency Wins Two Awards in International Competition
ATLANTA—(Sept. 15, 2005)—Cool Blue, an Atlanta-based interactive media agency, won two awards in the 9th annual Web Marketing Association's WebAwards, an international competition that attracts top advertising firms, as well as Fortune 500 companies. Cool Blue's redesign of the San Jose Repertory Theatre's Web site (sjrep.com) won "Best in Industry" honors, while its work for Atlanta-based Natural Body Spa & Shoppe (naturalbody.com) resulted in an "Outstanding Achievement in Website Development" award.
"Winning two WebAwards for two very different clients is yet more proof that Cool Blue is able to deliver large agency solutions with award-winning results," said Cool Blue Founder and President Bo Simmons. "We're thrilled to win this prestigious honor on behalf of both an Atlanta client - and one located in the heart of Silicon Valley."
Cool Blue teamed with TGNT Brand Activation to produce the new SJ Rep Web site, which contains more than 100 pages of rich content, and Flash animation promoting the theatre's productions and numerous community programs. The site outscored WebAward entries from the Museum of Modern Art and the Hong Kong Arts Festival Society.
For Natural Body, Cool Blue delivered a dynamic new site with 100 pages of fresh content, original photography and multimedia.
This is the second consecutive year Cool Blue was named recipient of a WebAward. In 2004, the firm's online work for Atlanta real estate company Braden Fellman Group netted honors for "Outstanding Real Estate Web site."
About the WebAwards
Now in its 9th year, the WebAwards is the premier annual award competition that judges Web site development against an ever increasing Internet standard and against peer sites within their industry. Entries were judged on the following seven criteria: design, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, ease of use, and use of technology. This year, more than 2,100 entries from 33 countries were considered for the competition. More information about the WMA and the WebAwards can be found at www.webaward.org.
